Midweek Confessions (when the husband's away edition)

Linking up with E, Myself and I for my midweek confessions.

I like to call this, When the husband's away edition....

1.  I really miss my husband, but am also very excited that when he is gone I get to drive his car.  See he drives the nice new SUV all the time, and I get our tiny (but still nice) car.  Before he left he switched the car seats, and I really don't want to switch them back when he gets home :) I mean which would you rather drive with two little ones....
This....

or This.... (oh and I have to mention that with my car, my husband opted out of power locks because when we bought it he was the one that was going to drive it..... do you know how hard that is with 2 kids....yea not fun!)

Yea....me too.

2.  I may eat candy in our bed at night.....we have a strict no eating upstairs rule, but when he is gone I like to get into bed and watch tv or play on the computer shortly after I put the kids to bed, so yea, there has definitely been some snacking going on.

3.  I have been letting our 4 year old come in and sleep with me at night.  My husband would DIE if he saw this.  We never have been, and never will be a co-sleeping family, but I sleep so much better with him in there....so ya, it happened.

4.  I may enjoy getting to watch whatever I want on tv.

5.  My kids may not be as clean as they normally are....bathing AND doing the bedtime routine by yourself is hard work, so we have most definitely skipped a few baths.

6. I am pretty sure I ate an entire bag of home made puppy chow myself....I think I may be an emotional eater when my husband is out of town.....anyway, it happened, and no I am not proud of it! :)

7.  I ate a PB and pickle sandwich for dinner the other night.....I used to eat them all the time as a kid, and for some reason was craving one.....still just as good!  I kind of enjoy not having to make a "real" meal everyday.  That sounds horrible, but it is such a fight to get my kids to eat anything, so I have been making things I know they will eat (i.e. - mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, you know kids food)  I however miss eating normal dinners.

So there you have it.  This confession thing is kinda fun.

    1. Good to know I am not alone!! If it isn't in the house I am ok, if it is here I can't stop.

  2. I don't blame you one bit for not doing the normal bath routine without your husband! It is so much harder doing it alone. I love that you are "breaking the rules" and eating candy in bed. You are such a rebel! ;)

  3. I could have written this post! Whenever my husband is away, I break tons of rules and The Boy misses out on bath time, too! Hooray for letting me know that I am not the only one!
