I am so excited to share today our kids Easter Baskets.  Ok, to be honest, I am just excited that the baskets are prepped in advance!  So, let's take a look into the kids baskets...

2014 Easter Baskets



I am so excited to actually be organized enough this year to share our Easter baskets before Easter!! You can check out last years baskets here! I don't like giving the kids candy, so I fill the baskets with small toys, books, and clothes instead.  I will try to link the items mentioned if possible.  The baskets and are from Pottery Barn Kids (unfortunately not available in the website at this time), as well as the liners.

Valentine's Day 2014


With all the snow we had last week, we ended up being stranded in for Valentine's Day.  The kids unfortunately both had school cancelled, therefore missed out on their parties.  We made the best of it however spending the day at home showering love on each other.  I think both Matthew and Lillian made me at least 10 valentines throughout the day.


Lilly never misses an opportunity to to dress the part.  Wearing a heart skirt from crazy 8 (last year) a heart bracelet from Gymboree  (very old) and a big ol' red bow on her head.


We decorated the house for Daddy, and ate all things heart shaped.  We ended up going out to dinner, which was a good thing, because I was all out of red foods to feed my children. 


We managed to get home and put the kids to bed pretty much on time, and enjoy some QT with my man.  We played Mario Cart while watching The Hangover.... we obviously go all out around here!

Valentine's Sneak Peak and SNOW!!

Well, they said we would get snow, that that we did.  This morning when it stopped (for now) we were over a foot, and are told we will get a few more inches later today.  My husband somehow managed to get out and off to work (he could have worked from home, but that is so not my husband), and I got the kids out the door to play without anyone in tears.  We are now back in, warmed up and just being lazy for the rest of the day.



Today I am also sharing what we are giving the kids for Valentine's Day.  We always do a goodie bag for them.  I will try to link some of the books/toys we got below.






As for Valentine's Day, assuming we will not have school, we will be decorating the dining room, doing crafts, and baking during the day.  And no real special plans for my husband and I who really don't make a big deal out of Valentine's Day for ourselves.
