I am so excited to have this new blog, with a new look, new name, new everything. Anyway......Here is a bit about our family as a start to Happily A Housewife!
Matt And Samantha
Matt and I are college sweethearts. We are both from Western Pennsylvania, but after living in Pittsburgh for a short time, we made a big decision to pack up and move to the DC Metro Area in 2007. It was 3 weeks before getting married (it was such a CRAZY thing to do, moving to another state 3 weeks before your wedding). It has turned out to be the best choice we have ever made. We have been here for 5 years, bought a home in Northern VA in 2010, and LOVE it. A part of us still misses "home" in PA where both of our families still live, but we travel back often to spend time. Matt is a VP of Production for a Video Production Company. He loves what he does, and I love that he works SO hard to make it possible for me to be at home with our little ones!
Matthew
In August 2007 we welcomed our first child, Matthew Murphy. He is now a very happy, energetic 4 year old. This fall he started Preschool for the first time 3 days a week. Although it was a very hard transition (for me, not him!) he is off learning more independence everyday. He loves trains, books, and being outside.
Lillian
Then in 2009 we had the wonderful addition of Lillian Alice to our family. Now our very opinionated, stubborn 2 year old, she certainly keeps things interesting! She loves purses, dresses and anything girly. She is also a very picky eater, which always makes mealtimes a challenge. However, her wonderful smile, and great big hugs and kisses make everyday wonderful.
